PRODUCTION TEAM LEADER

Role Overview

Production Team Leader at Napco National. The role leads daily production operations and supervises the production team to deliver safe, quality output in line with planned schedules.

Role Purpose

Manage production team performance, ensure correct staffing levels, supervise machine operation, maintain safety and hygiene standards, and coordinate with maintenance and quality control to sustain efficient and compliant production.

Key Responsibilities

Staffing & Planning

• Ensure correct manning levels per machine and fill manpower shortages to support daily production plan implementation.
• Assign tasks and deadlines to the production team and track achievement of set goals.

Production Operations & Reporting

• Review daily production reports for accuracy to enable proper shift handover and information transfer.
• Supervise machine run ability during trials and production runs.
• Report any non-conformities of raw material.

Safety & Hygiene

• Manage and guide the production team to work safely and effectively.
• Ensure all hygiene procedures (hairnet, mask, gloves, hand sanitization) are implemented correctly on the floor at all times.
• Comply with and follow safety and environmental instructions.
• Participate in toolbox talks given by the HSE officer.
• Consult and participate at all applicable levels and functions in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation and improvement actions of the OH&S management system.

Plant Maintenance

• Maintain tidy and clean plant premises.
• Secure proper preventive maintenance on all machines in coordination with the Maintenance Department.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure application of all quality procedures in coordination with the QC Department.
• Assist the Production unit head in following up and implementing safety and quality measures in line with smooth production process.

Staff Management

• Evaluate the performance of staff.
• Suggest appropriate incentive and training programs.
