Production Operator

Role Overview

Production Operator at Hempel in Sharjah, UAE. You will ensure quality, safety, and precision in paint manufacturing as part of a global collaborative team.

Role Purpose

Operate production machinery and manage raw materials, in-process quality, and finished products in paint manufacturing, ensuring compliance with safety standards, standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Materials & Production Operations

• Perform raw material receival, preparation, mixing, milling, and filling activities.
• Safely load and unload raw materials and finished products in compliance with safety standards.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment and handling equipment for hazardous materials as required by company protocols.
• Operate manual and semi-automatic machinery, including mixers, grinders, and filling machines, in line with operating procedures.
• Adjust machine settings and monitor operations to ensure product consistency and quality.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all activities are performed in line with local standard operating procedures.
• Conduct in-process quality checks against product specifications to ensure each batch meets specified standards.
• Report any deviations to the supervisor and assist with corrective actions.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning of equipment and production areas to prevent cross-contamination between batches.
• Follow procedures for cleaning tanks, mixers, pumps, and other equipment using designated cleaning solvents.
• Document the use of cleaning solvents and maintain records in the Reuse Solvent Register where applicable.

Waste Management

• Label and dispose of waste materials, including leftover solvents and rejected products, in line with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• SSC/SSLC mandatory.
• Manufacturing industry experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing paints is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English language mandatory.

• Able to work independently or as a team as per task requirements.
• Highly collaborative team player.
• Timely coordination and communication among team members.

Additional Information

The position is based in the Sharjah factory and reports to the Production Supervisor.
