PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Role Overview

Production Engineer at Napco National.

Role Purpose

Ensure runability and quality of products on the production line according to R&D standards while driving predictive maintenance, quality compliance, operator development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Runability

• Ensure runability and quality of products on the line as per R&D standard.
• Update machine condition reports and coordinate with Maintenance Manager to implement all preventive tasks.
• Lead machine projects for runability, upgrades, and additional features while closely coordinating with the Division Technical Manager.

Maintenance & Asset Management

• Own predictive maintenance tasks updates, implementation, repairs, and projects history.
• Suggest potential cost savings on raw materials in coordination with the technical department and QC Department.

Quality & Compliance

• Liaise with QC Department to maintain strict quality standards.
• Ensure strict adherence of operations to Quality Management System guidelines in coordination with PID Department.
• Comply with integrated management system requirements.

Process Improvement

• Conduct Fishbone Analysis and take corrective action on a weekly basis with coordination with Process Specialist.
• Liaise with Process Improvement Department to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Propose continual improvement initiatives related to job function for improved productivity.

Training & Development

• Prepare training programs for new operators and machine setters.
• Prepare skill sets for operators, machine setters, and alternative back-ups.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Align with HSSE team to update the HIRA and ensure hazards and risks are adequately identified and documented.
• Align with HSSE team to update the aspect and impact register to ensure all aspects and impacts are adequately identified and documented.
• Consult and participate at all applicable levels and functions in the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation, and actions for improvement of the OH&S management system.
