Role Overview

Product Repair & Modifications Technician with Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait, supporting C-17 Globemaster III aircraft maintenance operations at Al Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait.

Company Overview

Boeing Global Services operates an on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait.

Role Purpose

Provide organizational and intermediate level maintenance support for C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet Kuwait Air Force mission requirements through flight line tasks, component repair, and scheduled inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Maintenance & Operations

• Lead assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Perform organizational level maintenance activities including flight line tasks, aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement.
• Participate in intermediate level maintenance activities including back-shop tasks, component repair, test set operation, battery charging and scheduled periodic inspections.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul operations.

Troubleshooting & Testing

• Direct troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

• Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance including repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results.

Supervision & Training

• Lead and supervise others to perform tasks associated with safe handling of aerospace vehicles including jacking, towing and system operations.
• Provide training and mentor others.

General Execution

• Work under minimal direction.
• Demonstrate competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language as the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 or more years of C-17 maintenance experience.
• High School diploma or GED, plus 7 or more years of C-17 related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience such as vocational school, Associate degree plus 2 years related work, or Bachelor degree.
• Ability to meet cultural requirements of Kuwait as applicable.
• Ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of Kuwait, including clean criminal records check.

Additional Information

• This position requires one of two shifts Sunday through Thursday; weekends and holidays as required to support flight line maintenance requirements.
• Position requires ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship; interim and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• This is an internationally located, locally hired position in Kuwait.
