Process Engineer

Role Overview

Process Engineer at Vanderlande, based at Dammam Airport.

Role Purpose

Monitor and analyze the performance of the baggage handling system, operational processes, and maintenance activities. Use operational data to identify problems and root causes, prepare clear reports and dashboards, and support practical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Define and monitor key operational performance indicators.
• Prepare clear performance reports and dashboards.
• Support the operations manager with valuable insights about system and stakeholder performance.

Analysis & Problem Identification

• Analyze system data to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and root causes.
• Allocate improvement opportunities.

Improvement & Implementation

• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, processes, and maintenance activities.
• Develop practical solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and service quality.
• Track improvement actions and measure their results.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Prepare process documents, procedures, and operating instructions.
• Support and coach system operators and stakeholders on system SOPs and best practices.

Stakeholder Management

• Share findings and improvement actions with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
• Adequate knowledge and experience in baggage handling systems.
• At least three years of experience leading Six Sigma or DMAIC improvement projects.
• At least two years of experience in process engineering, business analysis, data analysis, or performance reporting.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Splunk.
• Good understanding of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of process mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
