Role Overview

Principal Specialist, TechOps Solution at Ma'aden.

Role Purpose

Capture requirements for technology initiatives, define solution plans aligned with platform and solution architects, troubleshoot current and future states, drive delivery packages that demonstrate clear value, and guide teams through site-based deployments and solution implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Delivery & Design

• Translate business challenges into technical solutions by troubleshooting site-based evidence for specific solution identification.
• Translate priority elements of solutioning required to meet Business Unit objectives across technology domains.
• Define solution plans inline with Platform and Solution Architects.
• Resolve technical and integration issues impacting initiative outcomes.
• Ensure solution designs are scalable, integrated, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Team Leadership & Guidance

• Guide delivery teams including data scientists, engineers, and digital specialists to ensure correct implementation of solution design.
• Provide technical direction, design clarification, and quality oversight throughout delivery.
• Ensure implementation meets agreed functional, performance, and quality expectations.

Initiative Management & Alignment

• Work with Domain Integrators and Business Partners to shape initiative scope, success measures, and value hypotheses.
• Capture Statement of Requirements for initiatives.
• Drive packages of works showing value through quarters.
• Ensure initiatives remain aligned with agreed KPIs, value outcomes, and priorities.
• Surface technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies early.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining or Minerals Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial also applicable), Computer Science, or Data Science.
• 5–10 years' experience in technical, analytics, or technology delivery roles.
• Proven experience owning solution design and guiding delivery teams.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
