Role Overview

Presenter at Emrb, delivering news and current affairs content to audiences.

Role Purpose

To research, produce, and present news content meeting the highest journalistic standards while making complex information accessible to diverse audiences, and to drive engagement and ratings through compelling storytelling and expert analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Content Production & Presentation

• Research and produce content aligned with Asharq's Editorial Guidelines.
• Present in an engaging, easily understandable manner that makes complex information accessible to non-subject matter audiences.
• Provide timely, expert, and authoritative news coverage and analysis on news and events of interest to audiences.
• Generate ideas and stories that contribute to creative treatment and show production.
• Ensure consistency and safeguard content quality and editorial style.

Performance & Audience Development

• Work closely with the insights team to understand programme performance and improve ratings of assigned bulletins or programs.
• Optimize the use of social media and new technologies to develop and deliver content to audiences.

Stakeholder & Network Management

• Lead interviews with local and non-local subject matter experts and figures.
• Liaise with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure output material is shared, duplication is avoided, and best practice is governed.
• Build and maintain diverse contact lists and databases to widen network.
