Role Overview

Physician - Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, BMT at Sidra Medicine. This role delivers high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients with hematologic, oncologic, and bone marrow transplant conditions.

Role Purpose

Deliver high-quality evidence-based care through effective and efficient diagnosis, management, and treatment of all assigned patients. Make clinical recommendations, order appropriate therapeutics and diagnostics, and ensure safe, holistic patient outcomes aligned with established best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Care Delivery

• Assess and reassess inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis in line with established best practice.
• Conduct ward rounds and regularly reassess inpatients and outpatients in line with established best practice.
• Provide clinical excellence through effective and efficient diagnosis, management, and treatment of all patients under your care.
• Deliver safe, effective, and holistic clinical services within accepted standards of care.
• Regularly review results of all investigations and modify treatment as required.

Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Care

• Actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings to plan effective, safe, and holistic care for individual patients.
• Liaise with colleagues, Allied Health staff, nursing, administrative and support services staff for additional input as required.

Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures.
• Support, implement, and follow all hospital, departmental, and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to Sidra's standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.

Education & Research

• Demonstrate an active interest in educating and fostering future academic leaders nationally and internationally through active participation in education initiatives.
• Demonstrate active interest and involvement in research by initiating innovative clinical or research outcomes or collaborating on research projects to support the Sidra vision.
• Demonstrate commitment to Continued Medical Education (CME).
• Keep abreast of current, relevant literature and the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

Stewardship & General Responsibilities

• Practice appropriate utilization of the organization's resources.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD, MBBS, or equivalent.
• Completion of board certification in Pediatrics.
• Completion of Fellowship/Training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT.
• Up to 2 years of post-board certification/Fellowship experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT.
