Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Medication Management

• Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and established protocols.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• Maintain organized and secure pharmaceutical inventory.

Patient Care & Counseling

• Provide pharmaceutical advice and medication counseling to patients.
• Monitor patient medication therapy and outcomes.
• Address patient inquiries regarding medications and side effects.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical transactions.
• Report adverse drug events and medication errors through appropriate channels.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication-related matters.
• Communicate medication information and recommendations to clinical teams.

Quality Assurance

• Participate in medication error prevention initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy operations and patient safety.
