Role Overview

Pediatric Registrar position (207738) at Nahdi, providing clinical care in the Pediatric department.

Role Purpose

Diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses in pediatric patients through comprehensive assessment, evidence-based care planning, and patient education. Maintain clinical excellence in accordance with CBAHI standards, organizational policies, and Saudi health regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.

Treatment & Prescribing

• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges granted according to training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.

Patient Education & Counseling

• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare when related to their individual cases.
• Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into a patient's care.

Records & Compliance

• Fulfill obligations related to patient records.
• Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
• Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics policies and procedures, bylaws, strategic plan, rules, and regulations.
• Adhere to the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of Nahdi Care Clinics.
• Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
• Complete fire safety requirements.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
• Observe measures to ensure clinical, Ministry of Health, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
• Participate in continuous professional development of all junior staff.
• Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program for the section, department, or clinical unit assigned by the chairman, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, journal clubs, and other educational activities.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of Nahdi Care Clinics, local agencies, vendors, patients, their families, and other interested parties.
• Actively participate in all Nahdi Care Clinics committees and task forces to which assigned.

Professional Development

• Maintain an evidence-based orientation to clinical practice.

General Duties

• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
• Master's degree in a related specialty from a recognized university, OR Fellowship with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) approval.

Experience

• Two years of clinical experience following Master's degree, or eligible to sit the board examination in the specialty.

Licensing

• Licensed as Registrar in a related specialty from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Skills & Competencies

• Office and Health Information Systems proficiency.
• English language: fluent speaking and writing.
• Arabic language: fluent speaking and writing.

• Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
