Role Overview
Pediatric Dentistry Registrar position at Nahdi Care Clinics. This role provides clinical service in the Pediatric Dentistry department, diagnosing and treating dental injuries and illnesses in pediatric patients.
Role Purpose
Deliver comprehensive pediatric dental care through patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution. Educate patients and families on oral health, preventive care, and treatment options. Maintain compliance with institutional policies, clinical standards, and professional development expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Patient Care
- Assess patients and document findings.
- Examine patients and take medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses.
- Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Order and review results of patients' investigations.
- Prescribe medications for patients.
- Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.
Patient Education
- Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
Clinical Governance & Compliance
- Fulfill obligations related to patient records.
- Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics policies, procedures, bylaws, strategic plan, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of Nahdi Care Clinics.
- Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
- Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
- Complete fire safety requirements.
- Perform duties according to specific privileges based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.
Professional Development & Quality Improvement
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
- Observe measures to ensure clinical, Ministry of Health, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
- Participate in continuous professional development of junior staff.
- Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, journal clubs, and other educational activities.
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice orientation.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of Nahdi Care Clinics, local agencies, vendors, patients, families, and other interested parties.
- Actively participate in all Nahdi Care Clinics committees and task forces to which assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management based on business need.
- Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university.
- Master's degree in a related specialty from a recognized university, or Fellowship with SCFHS approval.
Experience
- Two years of clinical experience following Master's degree, or eligibility to sit the board examination in the specialty.
Licensure
- Licensed as Registrar in a related specialty from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Skills & Competencies
- Office and Health Information Systems proficiency.
- English fluency in speaking and writing.
- Arabic fluency in speaking and writing.

- Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
