Patriot Major Item Repairman KSA- Saudi Arabia

Role Overview

Patriot Major Item Repairman (MIR) Senior Field Engineer I with RTX, supporting field engineering operations for the HAWK and Patriot Sustainment Contract (HPSC) Program. This position is based in Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

Provide in-depth system knowledge and field experience in theory of operation and troubleshooting to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items (MEI) electronic and mechanical problems, and functionally verify that MEIs perform to specified standards.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance & Repair

• Perform depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup, and repair capability for PATRIOT Weapon System MEIs.
• Affect all electronic repairs on location with detailed system knowledge and available hardware and software tools.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform direct maintenance on the ECS, RS, and LS.
• Utilize system diagnostics, built-in test (BITE), software, and external test equipment available at organizational, intermediate, and depot levels to isolate and troubleshoot system faults.

Modifications & Installations

• Install authorized third echelon modifications and provide day-to-day execution and oversight of refurbishment and modification processes.
• Implement and install approved ECPs on equipment.
• Demonstrate experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, including integration and checkout.

Quality & Oversight

• Monitor work performed by subordinates to ensure it meets or exceeds established quality standards.
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) programs.
• Assist the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards.

General Operations

• Perform other duties and activities as directed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verification of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools, and available test equipment.
• Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/34S/94S/916A/918D or an equivalent course of instruction on Patriot system conducted by the military or the system contractor.
• Certified Patriot System Repairer (94S).
• Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of relevant experience. High School Degree/GED acceptable with 8 additional years of equivalent job-related experience (4 additional years for each 1 year of higher education not completed).
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued SECRET security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Ability to obtain a Saudi Arabia work visa.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience with the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check-out (SICO) process.
• Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
• Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project.
• Demonstrated experience with training of team members.
• Previous experience in International Patriot Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Programs.
• Experience living and working in an overseas location.

Employment Details

• Position Type: Onsite.
• Location: US-TX-EL PASO-M2, 7201 Montana Ave, BLDG M2.
• Security Clearance Required: DoD Clearance, Secret level; active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

• Salary Range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD. Salary is determined based on role, function, associated responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
