Role Overview

Orthopedic Surgery Registrar position at Nahdi Care Clinics, providing specialized orthopedic clinical services.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive orthopedic patient care, including diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses, while maintaining adherence to clinical standards, policies, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Diagnosis

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Examine patients and take medical histories.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Order and review results of patients' investigations.

Treatment Planning & Execution

• Design and execute the patient's plan of care.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Treat injuries or illnesses according to clinical privileges and training.
• Perform additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges within Saudi health council guidelines.

Patient Education & Counseling

• Educate patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options, and medication use.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.

Clinical Records & Documentation

• Fulfill obligations related to patient records.

Governance & Compliance

• Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics policies, procedures, bylaws, strategic plan, rules, and regulations.
• Adhere to the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of Nahdi Care Clinics.
• Adhere to CBAHI standards of care.
• Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
• Complete fire safety requirements.

Committee & Quality Leadership

• Actively participate in all Nahdi Care Clinics committees and task forces assigned.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
• Observe measures to ensure clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
• Participate in continuous professional development of junior staff.

Professional Development

• Develop, participate in, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program for the section, department, or clinic assigned by the chairman.
• Include rounds, conferences, lectures, journal clubs, and other educational activities.
• Maintain evidence-based practice orientation.

Stakeholder Management

• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments of Nahdi Care Clinics, other local agencies, vendors, patients, their families, and other interested parties.

Clinical Integration

• Integrate population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from a recognized university.
• Master's degree in related specialty from a recognized university OR fellowship with SCFHS approval.

Experience

• Two years of clinical experience following Master's degree, or eligibility to sit the board examination in the specialty.

Licensure

• Licensed as Registrar in related specialty from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Office and health information systems proficiency.

Languages

• English and Arabic, fluent in speaking and writing.

Schedule

• Working days: six days per week
• Days off: one day per week
• Working hours: eight net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
