Role Overview

Organizational Activities Interface (OAI)/Technical Support Engineer at RTX, located in El Paso, Texas (US-TX-EL PASO-M2, 7201 Montana Ave, BLDG M2). This is an onsite position.

Role Purpose

Provide technical field operational services and training support for the UAE Patriot Technical Assistance program, ensuring the integrated Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept of Target (PATRIOT) System operates fully at Battalion and Fire Unit levels while advising and instructing military personnel in system operation, maintenance, and tactical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Instruction

• Advise and assist with training of Patriot Battalion (BN) and Fire Unit (FU) personnel in required operational skills.
• Conduct classroom and practical exercise instruction in PATRIOT organizational classes covering RSOP/Survey, March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense Mission (ADM) against Air-Breathing Threats (ABT) and Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM), Guided Missile Reload, and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables.
• Support new equipment training and sustainment training, including software (PDB's) and hardware (sweeps) update training.
• Provide Technical Instruction and Training at the training center using conference and practical exercise teaching methods.
• Participate in On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programs.
• Support UAE military personnel in system refresher operator training to battery and battalion personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills.

System Operations & Initialization

• Assist with BN/FU operation software initialization, including formulating system databases and communication plans.
• Provide expertise on system software application including initialization, operation, and training.
• Conduct operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot ECS and ICC.

Operational Support

• Provide Technical Advice and assist battery personnel with operational and tactical procedures associated with the Patriot Missile System.
• Assist with organizational level system upgrades and demonstrate knowledge on Brigade/AADCOM level TACSOP's.
• Ensure the integrated PATRIOT System is fully operational across all aspects of the Air Battle at the BN and FU levels.

General Duties

• Perform other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum four years of direct experience in the PATRIOT Air Defense System.
• Directly related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level.
• Demonstrated experience with integrated Battalion and Fire Unit-to-Fire Unit (FU-FU) operations.
• Demonstrated experience instructing PATRIOT organizational classes in the classroom and on tactical equipment or Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer.
• Demonstrated knowledge on Brigade/AADCOM level TACSOP's.
• Successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 24T/14E/140E conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or equivalent course of instruction conducted by the Patriot Missile System Contractor.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Working knowledge of PATRIOT integrated battalion and Fire Platoon-to-Fire Platoon operations, including expertise with PATRIOT communication links.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Security & Citizenship Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.
• DoD Clearance: Secret level required and must be active and existing on day 1.

Additional Information

• Position Type: Onsite. Employees work primarily onsite.
• Salary Range: $86,800 USD to $165,200 USD, dependent on experience level, role, function, responsibilities, education, training, and key skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: One year of Collective Training experience or assignment to a deployed PATRIOT Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS.
