Role Overview

Operator - Finishing Machine at Al Ghurair. This role is responsible for setting up, configuring, and operating a range of finishing machines to produce high-quality bound, stitched, folded, and cut products.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

• Set up and operate Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding machines, sewing machines, and Wholemberg gathering machines.
• Set up and operate cutting machines.
• Set up and configure automatic die cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder gluer, and bag fabrication machines (Champion) based on job specifications and material type.

Quality Control

• Monitor output for binding strength, stitching accuracy, fold precision, and cutting alignment.
• Conduct visual and manual checks to ensure product meets quality standards.

Maintenance & Equipment Care

• Perform routine cleaning of machines.
• Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Identify and escalate mechanical issues or misfeeds to the foreman or maintenance team.
