Role Overview

Operation Helper (With Forklift & Bobcat Licenses) at Burjline Builders.

Role Purpose

Provide operational support to plant control room operators and maintenance teams, including equipment monitoring, data recording, basic maintenance assistance, and material handling operations using forklift and bobcat equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operation Support

• Assist Control Room Operators in daily plant operations
• Support start-up, shutdown, and normal running of plant units
• Operate basic equipment under supervision (pumps, valves, filters)
• Carry out field checks on RO trains, intake, and post-treatment systems

Field Monitoring & Inspection

• Perform routine patrols of plant areas
• Check pumps, pipelines, tanks, filters, and chemical dosing systems
• Report leaks, abnormal noise, vibration, or equipment faults
• Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently

Data Recording & Sampling

• Take operational readings (flow, pressure, level, conductivity, pH)
• Record data in log sheets or digital systems (SCADA support)
• Collect water samples for laboratory analysis
• Assist in basic on-site testing when required

Basic Maintenance Support

• Assist maintenance team during repairs and shutdowns
• Perform cleaning of equipment, filters, and work areas
• Support lubrication, tightening, and minor mechanical tasks
• Help in changing cartridges, filters, or consumable parts

Chemical Handling Assistance

• Assist in safe handling and dilution of treatment chemicals
• Support chemical dosing system checks under supervision
• Ensure correct storage and labeling of chemicals

Housekeeping & General Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of plant and operational areas
• Support waste management and environmental housekeeping
• Carry out any additional operational tasks assigned by supervisors

Skills & Competencies

• Forklift Operation & Material Handling with license
• Bobcat / Skid-Steer Operation with license
• Loading and Unloading Materials
• Site Preparation & Cleaning
• Basic Equipment Inspection
• Safe Lifting and Manual Handling
• Warehouse & Construction Site Support
• Following Safety Procedures and PPE Requirements
• Good Physical Fitness and Stamina

Additional Information

• Forklift Operation & Material Handling: 3 years' experience required
• Bobcat / Skid-Steer Operation: 3 years' experience required
