OFFSHORE MATERIAL COORDINATOR

Role Overview

Offshore Material Coordinator at NMDC Group. The role manages the complete materials lifecycle from onshore preparation through offshore mobilization, execution, and closeout/demobilization.

Role Purpose

Own the Materials Management process across all project phases to ensure material availability, readiness, and compliance throughout offshore campaign execution. Interface with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and operational teams to support seamless offshore project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Materials Planning & Preparation

• Build and maintain inventory logs, tracking logs, and delivery logs to establish materials readiness prior to mobilization.
• Review material procurement lists with engineers and superintendents to ensure alignment with project needs.
• Keep detailed and updated inventory logs, master lists, and supporting documentation with photos.
• Prepare and authorize issuance notes for transferring materials to the Hookup Bag & Tag area.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Coordinate the procurement, tracking, storage, and issuance of required tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant material deliveries.
• Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and escalate procurement requests as needed.

Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure timely re-certification of critical equipment.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including packing lists, certificates, and inspection records for all project assets.
• Manage the issuance and reconciliation of materials and equipment, while generating necessary inventory reports.
• Conduct material reconciliation and manage the Return to Shore (RTS) process post-campaign.

Offshore Operations Support

• Respond to Approved Material Requests (AMR) issued during offshore campaign to supply materials as necessary and maintain offshore continuity.
• Support Bag & Tag operations in alignment with offshore construction work packs.
• Implement and oversee material management procedures to support offshore project execution.

Logistics & Transportation

• Coordinate with logistics teams for customs documentation, cargo planning, and transportation to offshore sites.
• Track material shipments to ensure safe and timely arrival at offshore locations.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Establish and maintain interface management with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and other departments to ensure material availability as required by Offshore.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of material and logistics workflows.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in a related discipline, or equivalent.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
• Valid Offshore Training certificate.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in material and logistics coordination, with a focus on offshore operations.
