Role Overview

Officer - HSE at NMDC Group. The role involves preparing AutoCAD drawings for production while ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across site operations.

Role Purpose

Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies across all site locations and activities. Ensure regulatory compliance, identify and mitigate hazards, investigate incidents, and foster a culture of safe work practices among all personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Compliance

• Implement company HSE policies on site.
• Comply with HSE requirements communicated in HSE induction.
• Carry out PTW compliance audits for ongoing activities.

Hazard Identification & Risk Management

• Monitor and analyze the risk of site activity.
• Advise to eliminate or reduce the potential risk in operation.
• Encourage hazard observation and reporting by non-HSE personnel.
• Report unsafe acts and conditions to HSE department using Intelex or booklets provided.
• Correct unsafe behavior and encourage safe work practices from all staff and workforce.

Site Inspections & Audits

• Carry out HSE inspections for all site locations and equipment onsite.

Induction & Training

• Conduct Project HSE induction for all new joiners.
• Ensure competent and skill-based certificates are valid and communicate with supervisor if getting expired.
• Do not carry out any task if not trained or authorized to do so.

Incident & Emergency Management

• Report dangerous situations, incidents and accidents.
• Participate in Incident/Accident investigation and reporting.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and response drills and ensure effectiveness.

Meetings & Stakeholder Engagement

• Participate and facilitate in Toolbox meetings.
• Attend Group Safety meetings and be familiar with the HSE requirements to follow while performing any activities.

Workplace Standards

• Monitor and advise for welfare facility and safe working condition to the management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or High School or Bachelor degree.
• Minimum qualification NEBOSH IGC or OSHA General Industry or OSHA Construction equivalent.
• Minimum qualification OSHAD (Preferred).
• First Aid Certification (Preferred).
