Role Purpose
To escort uncleared Local National and Other Country National (LN/OCN) personnel into designated areas, monitor their activities while they perform work duties, and maintain security protocols and personnel accountability throughout their time on base.
Key Responsibilities
Escorting and Access Control
- Perform a wide range of Local National/Other Country National escorting coverage.
- Make contact with LN/OCN personnel at the designated entry facility after they are processed for entry and receive their exchange badges.
- Provide briefing on rules and procedures to LN/OCN personnel.
- Escort LN/OCN personnel until daily work is completed, the work zone has been purged by trained Force Protection military personnel, and all LNs/OCNs have exited base and/or returned to camps.
- Log in and out all LN/OCN contractors.
- Count personnel before and after they perform duties.
Security and Contraband Prevention
- Ensure LN/OCNs do not bring onto the base any prohibited or contraband items, including weapons and drugs.
- Maintain sight of all vehicles and personnel when performing LN/OCN escort duties.
- Alert appropriate personnel of any suspicious behaviors or comments of LN/OCNs.
Safety and Accountability
- Maintain alert state of readiness and prepare to properly respond to any situation that may occur.
- Provide for safety and welfare of oneself and escorted personnel, such as evacuating to protective shelter in case of attack.
- Notify Project/Site Manager and Safety staff as soon as possible of unsafe working conditions.
- Notify appropriate personnel of how many people and vehicles are being escorted.
Facilities and Compliance
- Ensure proper housekeeping practices are strictly adhered to.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- US Citizenship required.
- Valid US Passport preferred.
- Valid US Driver's License with good driving report.
- Ability to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa at host nation.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Ability to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
