Role Overview

OAI - Training Advisor with RTX, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a short-term onsite assignment.

Role Purpose

Provide technical field operational services and training support for the UAE Patriot Technical Assistance program, advising and instructing Patriot Battalion and Fire Unit personnel in operational skills, system initialization, and tactical procedures to ensure the integrated Patriot System is fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

Training and Instruction

• Advise and assist with training of Patriot Battalion and Fire Unit personnel in required operational skills.
• Provide technical instruction and training at the training center using conference and practical exercise teaching methods.
• Conduct new equipment training and sustainment training in both classroom and practical exercises.
• Deliver software (PDB's) and hardware (sweeps) update training.
• Support UAE military personnel in system refresher operator training for battery and battalion personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills.
• Instruct organizational level classes in RSOP/Survey, March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense Mission (ADM) against Air-Breathing Threats (ABT) and Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM), Guided Missile Reload and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables.
• Participate in On-the-Job Training (OJT) Programs.
• Conduct examinations and take responsibility for course conduct as an instructor.

System Operations and Technical Support

• Assist with Battalion and Fire Unit operation software initialization including formulating system databases and communication plans.
• Provide expertise on system software application including initialization, operation, and training.
• Support tasks that ensure the integrated Patriot System is fully operational to include all aspects of Air Battle at the Battalion and Fire Unit levels.
• Conduct operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot ECS and ICC.
• Provide technical advice and assist battery personnel with operational and tactical procedures associated with the Patriot Missile System.
• Assist battery personnel during the modernization process with operational and tactical procedures.

General Duties

• Perform other related duties as required or directed by the section officer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum four years of experience in the Patriot Air Defense System.
• Directly related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level.
• Demonstrated experience with integrated Battalion and Fire Unit-to-Fire Unit (FU-FU) operations.
• Demonstrated experience instructing Patriot organizational classes in the classroom and on the tactical equipment or Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer in specified areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Brigade/AADCOM level TACSOP's and capability to assist in training of organizational level system upgrades.
• Successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 24T/14E/140E conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or an equivalent course of instruction conducted by the Patriot Missile System Contractor.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Patriot integrated battalion and Fire Platoon-to-Fire Platoon operations, including expertise with Patriot communication links.
• One year of Collective Training experience or assignment to a deployed Patriot Battalion in CONUS or OCONUS.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Power Point.

• Technical expertise in Patriot system software application, initialization, and operation.
• Proficiency in system database formulation and communication plan development.
• Instruction and training delivery in both classroom and practical settings.
• Knowledge of operational and tactical procedures for Patriot Missile System.
• Capability to manage exercises with Patriot ECS and ICC systems.

Additional Information

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret) is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.
• Position Role Type: Onsite.
• Salary Range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD.
