Role Purpose
To oversee all veterinary nursing activities within the clinic, provide direct support to the veterinary team and physiotherapist, and serve as the primary helping hand during consultations, surgeries, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Monitoring
- Assist the veterinary team and physiotherapist as required before, during and after consultations.
- Monitor patients as required when hospitalized.
- Monitor and check up on boarded pets as needed.
- Manage admission and discharge of patients.
Surgical & Anesthetic Support
- Provide anesthetic nursing during surgeries, including induction and recovery.
- Deliver surgical nursing support.
Medical & Technical Procedures
- Perform medical nursing duties.
- Place catheters and perform blood draws.
- Conduct basic laboratory analysis.
- Support radiology procedures.
Customer Service & Collaboration
- Deliver customer service during clinic consultations.
- Work closely with all colleagues and nurture a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Assist management in protocols implementation when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered nurse with enthusiasm for small animal care.
