Role Overview
Night Manager (Arabic Speaker) at DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah Waterfront Hotel & Residences, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Role Purpose
Lead the hotel's overnight operations as Manager on Duty, ensuring business continuity, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence while delivering memorable experiences that embody Hilton's hospitality values.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Lead hotel overnight operations and serve as Manager on Duty.
- Make operational decisions and take ownership of issues arising during the night shift.
- Escalate matters to the appropriate Head of Department or General Manager when required.
- Monitor hotel performance throughout the shift and take corrective action to maintain Hilton Brand Standards and operational targets.
- Review operational challenges and trends and communicate recommendations to relevant HODs and management team for follow-up.
Guest Satisfaction & Service Recovery
- Oversee guest satisfaction and service recovery.
- Address complaints, feedback, and special requests promptly and professionally.
Financial & Audit Control
- Review and control the Night Audit process.
- Review and control daily revenue and cash handling.
- Review and control operational reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Staffing & Productivity
- Monitor staffing and productivity.
- Ensure Team Members are deployed effectively according to business needs and occupancy levels.
Inspections & Standards Compliance
- Conduct management inspections of the hotel to ensure standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security, and guest areas are consistently maintained.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton Brand Standards, standard operating procedures, health and safety, HACCP, security, and applicable UAE requirements.
Emergency Response
- Lead the response to emergencies and incidents.
- Ensure appropriate action, documentation, communication, and escalation in line with hotel procedures.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, guide, and support Team Members.
- Provide feedback and recognition while reinforcing Hilton values and service expectations.
Handover & Communication
- Ensure effective handover of operational, guest, financial, and staffing matters to the morning management team.
- Represent hotel leadership during the night shift.
- Maintain professional communication with guests, Team Members, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (an advantage).
- Minimum 2 years of hotel operations experience.
- At least 1β2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Previous experience as a Night Manager or Duty Manager in an international hotel (an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of Front Office, Rooms Division, and hotel night operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability to lead and manage a multi-department operation.
- Sound independent decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of standard operating procedures, guest service, health and safety, and security procedures.
- Fluency in Arabic (required for this role).
Additional Information
- Flexible to work overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays based on business requirements.
