Role Purpose

To perform ultrasonic inspection activities using 3.1.3.2 technique, including system setup, calibration, weld inspection, analysis, evaluation, and formal reporting. The role includes performing MUT weld scanning on structural steel during the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Operations

• Perform ultrasonic inspection using 3.1.3.2 technique.
• Setup equipment prior to inspection as required.
• Perform system calibration during setup as required.
• Perform system calibration (dynamic) prior to, during, and after inspection as daily routine.
• Conduct MUT weld scanning 3.1.3.2 on structural steel during fabrication process.

Quality Assessment

• Read code and acceptance criteria as daily routine.
• Evaluate and make decisions on weld quality (accept or reject) with reference to code and acceptance criteria as daily routine.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare inspection reports with accuracy and completeness using approved report format as daily routine responsibility.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Maintain all equipment prior to, during, and after work completion as required.

• Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
• Perform assigned tasks with due diligence regarding Integrated Management Systems.
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• PCN Level II – Ultrasonic testing 3.1.3.2.3.
• Minimum 5 years solid experience in Phased Array Inspection in Oil and Gas Industry.
