Medical Equipment Sterilization Technician (207573)

Role Overview

Medical Equipment Sterilization Technician at Nahdi. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the medical and surgical tools used in hospitals to avoid spreading of germs and infection.

Role Purpose

Ensure all medical and surgical instruments are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and maintained to protect patients from infection and support hospital operations in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Decontamination & Sterilization

• Decontaminate surgical and medical instruments.
• Decontaminate operating areas and set up equipment for surgical procedures.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records.

Quality Assurance

• Test and perform quality control checks routinely to ensure equipment is running properly.
• Ensure hospitals comply with regulations and work to protect patients from infection.

Equipment & Inventory Management

• Assemble medical equipment.
• Perform equipment inventory and restock supplies when needed.
• Keep tools organized, sort mismatched sets of instruments, and make them available for physicians in a timely manner.

Additional Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager based on business need.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related specialization (chemistry, microbiology, biology, or biochemistry).
• Professional Accreditation Certificate authorized from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Fresh graduate.

Skills & Competencies

• Office computer skills.
• Arabic language proficiency.
• English language proficiency.

Additional Information

• Work environment: 100% indoors.
• Working schedule: 6 working days per week, 1 day off.
• Working hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
