Role Overview

Manager, Treasury Technology at Mashreq, leading the Technology Team within Injaz-TCM & Wealth Platforms-Trading Systems. This role is based at MIT.

Role Purpose

Lead, plan, direct, and execute a treasury technology transformation program across the Trading Cluster, with vital focus on the implementation of Integral, LSEG, XLR8, Meta Trader, and Trade Net. Drive digitization initiatives of Treasury Technology applicable to the Trading Cluster and ensure achievement of business objectives through effective strategy development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation Leadership

• Collaborate with leadership within Mashreq's Treasury and Corporate and Investment Banking to support the digital transformation strategy.
• Contribute towards the development of the cluster strategy and lead the effective implementation of approved strategies and plans.
• Define the delivery roadmap and implementation timelines across the Trading area of Treasury Technology digital transformation initiatives.
• Serve as a Change Champion, responsible for the realization of the Trading for treasury technology transformation vision both internally and externally.

Program & Implementation Management

• Manage and oversee comprehensive cluster-wide digital transformation and program implementations within approved budgets.
• Direct complex end-to-end systems implementations of programs with concrete evidence of success.
• Build internal organizational capabilities and frameworks to enable the cluster to adopt rapid deployment techniques utilizing agile or similar methodologies.
• Expert in implementation methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile, and in the usage of reporting and tracking tools.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Manage stakeholder relationships across all groups within Mashreq Bank ensuring alignment to common objectives.
• Ensure fulfillment of criteria and requirements across various businesses and units.
• Interact with TCM Trading desk to understand requirements.
• Review and agree proposed solutions with users.
• Partner with other groups to resolve problems as needed.
• Possess deep knowledge and experience in stakeholder and vendor management.

Policy, Controls & Continuous Improvement

• Recommend and implement improvements to cluster policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned unit activity.
• Ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality and cost-effective solutions.
• Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes, and practices.
• Take into account international best practice, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Market Analysis & Solution Design

• Analyze various solutions from the market and propose to users to help grow business.

Decision Authority

• Hold authority to take decisions to run the business for Trading Cluster from the technology side.

Qualifications & Experience

• BS/B.Tech Degree; MS/M.Tech. preferred.
• More than 12 years of experience in similar role with concrete evidence of direct management of complex end-to-end systems implementations of programs.
• Expert knowledge of new trends in the market as they relate to technology and experience in implementations of Treasury and wealth technology solutions.
• Front office treasury experience along with market data platforms including LSEG, Bloomberg, and ICE.
• Experience with multi-dealer platforms including Integral, FXALL, and XLR8.
• Cross-border and cross-functional team management experience.
