Role Overview

Manager - Risk & Compliance at Majid Al Futtaim, MAF Retail, Corporate Head Office.

Role Purpose

Support the Vice President – Risk and Compliance in developing, updating and implementing risk and compliance policies and procedures across all MAF Retail countries. Identify potential risks, contribute to action plans, and ensure safe conditions for assets, merchandise and environment.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Procedure Development

• Assist the Vice President Risk and Compliance in establishing and updating risk and compliance policies and procedures for all countries across MAF Retail.
• Recommend improvements and new developments on the Risk and Compliance systems.

Coordination & Alignment

• Coordinate and follow up with all countries to ensure alignment with security policies and procedures.
• Analyse retail data and information from committee meetings and ensure that action plans are prepared.

Risk Management & Initiatives

• Assist the Vice President Risk and Compliance with developing and implementing risk management and Risk and Compliance initiatives.
• Contribute to development of recommendations and solutions for disasters and other crisis situations.

Investigation & Compliance Enforcement

• Participate in investigations of fraud cases such as employee theft, breach of ethics, corruption and violations of Risk and Compliance policies and recommend resolutions when required.
• Ensure all external and internal investigations and decisions comply with applicable laws, company policy and industry leading practices to reduce company exposures to civil litigation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field.
• 5+ years' professional experience in a similar function.
• 2+ years' experience in retail.
