Manager Markets - Sub-Saharan Africa and Islands at Etihad Airways. The position is based in Abu Dhabi, managing revenue performance across Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean markets.

Role Purpose
Lead a team of Revenue Management specialists across Pricing, Demand, Flight Management and Analytics to drive commercial performance and revenue outcomes across a diverse portfolio of Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean markets, including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, DRC, Eritrea, Seychelles, Zanzibar and the Maldives.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Performance & Portfolio Management
- Own revenue performance of the Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean portfolio, ensuring market objectives are delivered across pricing, demand forecasting, inventory and flight performance.
- Ensure market and point-of-sale strategies are effectively executed, monitoring performance and taking corrective action where required to achieve revenue targets.
- Oversee forecast accuracy, demand plans and pricing performance across the portfolio, ensuring decisions are supported by sound analysis and market intelligence.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a team of managers across Pricing, Demand, Flight Management and Analytics, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage and develop people leaders within the team.
Market & Commercial Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer demand patterns, identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance and revenue delivery.
- Promote a test-and-learn mindset within the team, leveraging insights from previous performance, special events and market developments to continuously optimize results.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Network Planning, Sales, Commercial Agreements and Revenue Management stakeholders to resolve market challenges and support business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience within Airline Revenue Management, Pricing, Inventory Management or a related commercial function.
- Proven experience leading teams, including the management and development of people leaders.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of airline revenue management principles, including pricing, demand forecasting, inventory optimization and commercial performance management.
