Manager - Inventory Control

Role Overview

Manager - Inventory Control at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Amenities include multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Role Purpose

Lead the Inventory Control team to ensure accurate inventory management, timely financial reporting, and effective coordination of resources across all resort outlets while maintaining data integrity and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Lead the Inventory Control team with effective guidance and support.
• Evaluate team performance and provide necessary training.
• Lead by example and foster a culture of safe behavior among team members in accordance with Wynn Health and Safety Standards.

Inventory Management and Operations

• Ensure timely deliveries to outlets and completion of scheduled inventory counts.
• Maintain the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data within BirchStreet.
• Take primary responsibility for ensuring that all inventory and financial postings are completed accurately and on time.
• Address inventory variances with the warehouse team and align with the Operations Controller on adjustments, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare, validate, and distribute daily and monthly food cost reports to outlets.
• Analyze variances and trend changes, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify underlying causes.
• Prepare month-end inventory reports for review by the Operations Controller and submission for corporate reporting.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate and allocate resources to meet departmental requirements in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

Compliance and Records Management

• Maintain confidentiality and proper records management in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum three years of managerial experience in inventory control, supported by strong financial acumen.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

Skills & Competencies

• Experienced in inventory management, financial systems, and reporting platforms, including BirchStreet, Oracle, and Power BI.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supported by strong interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Capable of working independently, exercising sound judgement and taking ownership of responsibilities.
• Collaborative and adaptable team player who responds effectively to changing priorities and performs well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
