Role Purpose

Oversee the group accounting function and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies. Lead the consolidation of financial statements across the group, ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, and provide insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

• Lead and manage the group accounting team to prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance

• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes within the organization.

Strategic Support

• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.

Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in group accounting.
• Significant leadership experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
