Manager - Finance (UAE)

Role Overview

Manager - Finance for UAE Shoe Mart at Landmark Group, based in the United Arab Emirates. Lead finance business partnering, planning, reporting, and governance activities.

Role Purpose

Own financial strategy, planning, and operational oversight for UAE Shoe Mart. Drive profitability through rigorous financial analysis, business partnership, and governance while ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and feasibility studies to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct financial analysis to drive profitability improvement.
• Support lease renewal evaluations.

Business Partnering

• Collaborate with business, brand, and corporate teams to monitor financial performance.
• Identify financial opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner across functions to drive performance improvement.

Governance

• Manage legal agreements and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate reviews and approvals with business, legal, and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely processing and governance of agreements.

Reporting

• Oversee monthly financial closing and reporting processes.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Performance Monitoring

• Review key business KPIs including sales, markdowns, productivity, and overheads.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management based on performance data.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to Corporate Tax, VAT, FAR, COC, and CFO scorecard requirements.
• Maintain compliance with statutory and internal compliance guidelines.
• Support implementation and maintenance of strong financial controls, policies, and risk management practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in Finance and Operations, preferably in a Retail environment.
• Specific exposure to operational financial planning and budget control.
• 2 – 3 years of managerial experience in an independent Finance, Operations, or Commercial function.
