Role Overview

Manager - E-Commerce (Category Management) at Landmark Group.

Role Purpose

Develop and execute e-commerce category strategy for Furniture, optimizing commercial performance through competitive analysis, inventory management, promotional planning, and data-driven decision-making to maximize online sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Commercial Performance

  • Formulate and implement strategies and procedures for improved commercial performance.
  • Study online competition for Furniture on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Take corrective actions on pricing and recommend items based on past learning and ongoing competitive activities.
  • Plan promotions and events for e-commerce sales.
  • Forecast products and quantities for sales while ensuring inventory and stock availability.
  • Ensure the product range is represented appropriately on the e-commerce website.
  • Work closely with Buyers to develop e-commerce exclusive products and ranges not available in physical stores.
  • Analyse Management Information Systems (MIS) reports and highlight key trends and recommended path forward.
  • Suggest improvements based on benchmark practices.

Content and Online Promotion

  • Ensure 95% listing of all inventory on the e-commerce portal at any given time.
  • Circulate weekly counts of active items listed versus active stocks in portfolio, organized by department.
  • Ensure timely testing of links and implementation on the e-commerce portal.
  • Recommend e-commerce store promotions in consultation with Buyers, Retail Operations, and Marketing.
  • Ensure all required promotional communications are developed and designed within established timelines.
  • Recommend events specific to Brand, Product category, and Season.
  • Forecast increased footfall and sales during promotions in coordination with Buyers and Retail Operations.

Competition Mapping

  • Conduct periodic market research to study customer profiles, preferences, and buying patterns.
  • Conduct market research to evaluate media campaign effectiveness relative to budget spent, in coordination with the Digital Marketing team.
  • Track competition websites proactively and take corrective actions.

Reporting

  • Deliver weekly category reports including Top Seller, Ageing analysis, and E-commerce Exclusive sharing data.
  • Deliver operational reports covering Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer care complaints, and product feedback.

Budgeting and Planning

  • Review sales budgets and make recommendations to management as deemed necessary.
