Manager - Accounts and Finance

Role Overview

Manager - Accounts and Finance at Apparel Group. This role partners with senior leadership to drive financial planning, performance monitoring, and decision support across the brand's operations.

Role Purpose

To deliver accurate financial analysis, strategic budgeting, and business planning support that enables informed decision-making and ensures realistic, stretched targets reflect actual business potential.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Budgeting

• Work in conjunction with the Business Head and Senior Finance Manager to drive the annual business planning and budgeting process for the brand.
• Ensure that targets set within budgets are realistic, stretched, and reflect actual business potential.
• Prepare business plans and budget presentations for the brand.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare financial statements and MIS on a monthly basis for stakeholders.
• Conduct financial analysis of P&L and present findings to management.
• Present P&L statements to principals and serve as point of contact for all business affairs.
• Prepare ad hoc reports based on customized requirements.
• Analyze stock reports.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor ongoing performance to track and report achievements.
• Highlight variances and advise Business Head on preventive measures, corrective actions, and reinforcements as required.
• Track profitability of new age stores.
• Keep track of all expenses related to trade licenses and rent elements within the brand.

Strategic Analysis & Decision Support

• Undertake decision-support analyses to facilitate various business decisions including new stores, new brands, new countries, store refurbishments, closures, and exit options.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new stores and current stores to assess profitability.
• Perform breakeven analysis for loss-making stores to inform business decisions.

Operations & Authorization

• Oversee import payments which constitute purchasing activity.
• Track and authorize all movements of small wares and equipment in warehouses.
