Role Purpose
Manage tax compliance and strategy across the organization, overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Filing
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all required tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare and review corporation tax calculations and returns.
- Prepare and review VAT calculations and returns.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation to support tax filings and compliance.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Transactions
- Review Transfer Pricing procedures, business processes, and intercompany transactions in line with local Transfer Pricing Regulations, OECD guidelines, and the Group's existing Transfer Pricing Policy to ensure Transfer Pricing compliance.
- Advise businesses on Transfer Pricing matters.
- Ensure correct and timely filing of all Transfer Pricing Documentation, including TP Master Files, TP Local Files, and Intercompany transaction Reporting.
Tax Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position, including minimizing tax liabilities and maximizing available tax benefits.
- Review the Group Structure and advise on tax optimization.
- Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities, keeping the company informed of potential tax implications of business decisions.
Regulatory & Reporting Obligations
- Prepare Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) documents and file with Tax Authorities.
- Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting and tax standards, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, conducting research to interpret their impact on the organization.
Tax Audit & Government Relations
- Manage tax audits, inquiries, and examinations by government authorities, providing required documentation and support.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance on tax matters.
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA, or a Master's degree in Law.
- Minimum 3β4 years of experience working as a Tax Manager in a Big 4 firm or multinational corporation.
- Minimum 7 years of experience dealing with Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and VAT in the GCC or Europe, with a proven track record of managing tax compliance and planning.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
