Role Purpose

The Major Item Repairer will provide in-depth system knowledge and field experience to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items electronic and mechanical problems. The role combines depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup and repair capability for Patriot Weapon System Major End Items with logistics support, parts tracking, and Bill of Material coordination for the Kuwait Patriot program.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance & Repair

• Provide day-to-day execution on the Kuwait Patriot Technical Assistance program.
• Perform depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup and repair capability for Patriot Weapon System Major End Items.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting skills required to resolve complex Patriot missile system electronic and mechanical problems.
• Affect all electronic repairs on location with detailed system knowledge.
• Use all hardware and software tools available to Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance.

Logistics & Supply Chain

• Provide logistics support and services, logistics provisioning, analysis, data, and guidance.
• Track parts and incorporate into Next Higher Assemblies and assets installed into baselined Major Equipment Items.
• Serve as the main focal point for creation of the estimate Bill of Material by coordinating with hardware, maintenance and other functions involved with the final priced Bill of Material.
• Conduct spares analysis and procurement.
• Perform Turn Around Time analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/94S/140L/916A or an equivalent course of instruction on a similar electronic system conducted by the military or the system contractor.
• Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools and available test equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order installations, including system integration and checkout.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five years of Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of Patriot refurbishment, modification, and Enhanced Deep Maintenance.
• Previous experience in International Patriot Foreign Military Sales Programs.
• Experience living and working in an overseas location.
• Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support.
• Raytheon Six Sigma Certification.
• Training experience with team members.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Experience creating tailored reports in Microsoft Excel from external and compiled data sources.
• Advanced experience using inventory, maintenance, and baseline configuration control database software systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Risk and Opportunity Management, or similar business processes.
• Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with focus on achieving active participation across the business.

Additional Information

Work Arrangement

• Onsite position; employees work primarily onsite as essential to product development.
• Position is located in Kuwait.
• This is a U.S.-based role.

Security Clearance

• DoD Clearance: Secret level required.
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
