Major end repairer MIR- Qatar

Role Overview

Major End Repairer (MIR) at RTX, located in Doha, Qatar. This is an onsite position.

Role Purpose

Provide in-depth system knowledge and field expertise to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items electronic and mechanical problems. Execute depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup, and repair operations on the Qatar Depot Operations program while maintaining quality standards and reporting accurate equipment information to program leadership and the customer.

Key Responsibilities

System Diagnosis and Repair

• Perform depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup, and repair capability for Patriot Weapon System Major End Items.
• Conduct all electronic repairs on location with detailed system knowledge.
• Troubleshoot complex Patriot missile system electronic and mechanical problems.
• Demonstrate field experience related to theory of operation and troubleshooting skills.

Tools and Equipment

• Utilize all hardware and software tools available to Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance.
• Apply maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, and available test equipment.

Quality Assurance and Oversight

• Monitor work performed by subordinates to ensure it meets or exceeds established quality standards.
• Ensure appropriate and accurate information on all equipment is reported to program leadership and the customer.

Modifications and Integration

• Install Department of the Army Modification Work Orders (DAMWO), including system integration and checkout.

Operational Execution

• Provide day-to-day execution on the Qatar Depot Operations program.
• Lift 50 lbs. and work in an extreme environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 14E/27X/34S/94S/916A/918D or equivalent course of instruction on a similar electronic system conducted by the military or system contractor.
• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience without a degree.
• Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, to include system integration and checkout.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years Patriot Depot Forward maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Raytheon Quality Control procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of Patriot refurbishment, modification, and Enhanced Deep Maintenance.
• Previous experience in International Patriot Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Programs with experience living and working in an overseas location.

• Security Clearance Type: DoD Clearance: Secret.
• Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
• Position Role Type: Onsite. Employees working in onsite roles work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance employees essential to product development.
• Candidates may be asked to attend select interview process steps in-person at RTX office locations, regardless of role designation.
• Salary Range: $86,800 USD to $165,200 USD. RTX considers role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills when extending offers.
