Maintenance Crew position with wasl, operating under Viya's golf and hospitality management group in the United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose
Under the supervision of Supervisors, the Grounds Assistant performs routine manual labour involved in golf course and landscape maintenance, supporting the operation and presentation of golf facilities for play.
Key Responsibilities
Course Operations & Maintenance
- Operate hand machinery and equipment in the routine set up of the golf course for play.
- Support operation of mowers and other light equipment.
- Perform work involving sports turf maintenance and working with large teams.
Landscaping & Projects
- Assist in project work and landscaping initiatives.
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to JGE health and safety practices.
- Attend departmental briefings and regular communication meetings.
- Perform any duties as assigned and/or required by immediate supervisor or management.
Work Environment
- Work in extreme summer temperatures.
- Work with multicultural workforce with varying levels of spoken English.
Qualifications & Experience
- School Leaver's Certificate and any further education.
- Desirable certificates and credentials in relevant areas.
Skills & Competencies
- Spoken English (must have).
- Hardworking, honest, ambitious, team-orientated, flexible.
- Sound judgment and decision-making.
- Well-presented with good personal hygiene.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance.
- Experience working with sports turf and use of machines.
