Role Overview
MAC Specialist for the ADNOC PMC project with KBR, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose
Act as the PMC focal point for all Monitoring, Automation, and Control system activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards, and technical excellence throughout design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations phases.
Key Responsibilities
Oversight & Governance
- Act as PMC focal point for all Monitoring, Automation, and Control system activities across the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables related to ICSS, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, F&G, Instrumentation, and telecommunications systems.
- Evaluate and approve vendor documents, technical submittals, material requisitions, and package vendor designs.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and digital asset management requirements.
- Verify contractor adherence to quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Technical Review & Assessment
- Review system architecture, control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, logic diagrams, network configurations, and software applications.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, FAT, SAT, IFAT, and integrated system testing activities.
- Identify project risks, technical issues, and opportunities for optimization and recommend mitigation measures.
Performance & Compliance Monitoring
- Monitor EPC Contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and international standards.
- Coordinate interfaces between Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Cybersecurity, and Operations disciplines.
Commissioning & Operations Support
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system operability and maintainability.
- Support project digitalization initiatives, including real-time monitoring, data integration, predictive analytics, and smart asset solutions.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and management presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Automation, Control Systems, Cybersecurity, or Digitalization are advantageous.
- Membership in recognized engineering institutions is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, or offshore projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a PMC, EPC, or Owner's Engineer role.
- Proven experience in automation and control system design, implementation, and commissioning.
- Experience with major control systems such as Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell Automation.
- Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction Support, and Commissioning phases.
