Role Purpose

Ensure the safety of guests and associates within designated swimming areas during posted business hours through vigilant monitoring, emergency response, and maintenance of safety standards and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Emergency Response

• Ensure safety of guests and associates within designated swimming areas during posted business hours.
• Respond to any emergency within the hotel and resort swimming areas.
• Ensure that rescue boat is available at all times.
• Conduct rescue operations as required.

Equipment & Facility Management

• Ensure set-up of safety equipment at the pool.
• Set up life-saving floatation devices along the shoreline and around the pool.
• Ensure correct flag is in place during business hours.
• Maintain first aid kit in accessible condition.
• Post business hours signage.
• Post pool depth information.
• Monitor water and air temperatures.

General Duties

• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Lifeguard Certification required.
• Authorization to conduct CPR and automated external defibrillation (AED).
• Two to five years of experience in the lifeguard field.

• Good English communication skills.
• Pleasing personality.
• Ability to handle pressure at work.
• Ability to multi-task.
