Role Overview
Lead Planning Engineer - Construction with KBR in Abu Dhabi, initially based in the city and later moving to Ruwais Site, UAE.

Role Purpose
Lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of large-scale Oil & Gas construction projects by developing and maintaining integrated project schedules and providing leadership and guidance to planning engineers to ensure successful project delivery within approved timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Establish project baselines and monitor progress.
- Perform critical path and schedule risk analyses.
- Identify potential delays and mitigation measures.
- Prepare look-ahead plans.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure accurate progress measurement and forecasting.
Project Controls & Compliance
- Support project controls functions through earned value analysis, delay analysis, recovery planning, extension of time (EOT) claims, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, project procedures, and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.
Leadership
- Provide leadership and guidance to planning engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum 5 years in a Lead Planning Engineer role within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Experience handling mega Oil & Gas FEED/EPC projects.
- Minimum 20+ years overall experience in execution of EPC contracts in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in Gas Processing/NGL and EPC/Detail Engineering projects.
