Land Surveyor

Role Overview

Land Surveyor at HanmiGlobal Saudi. The role involves performing accurate field measurements, boundary assessments, and topographic mapping for engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to work effectively on-site and in collaboration with design and construction teams.

Role Purpose

Conduct precise land, topographic, and construction surveys; interpret survey data to produce accurate maps and reports; and ensure all survey work complies with legal standards, project requirements, and health and safety regulations while collaborating with engineering, architecture, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Field Surveys and Measurements

• Conduct land, topographic, and construction surveys using GPS, total stations, and other precision equipment.
• Establish control points, boundaries, and benchmarks in accordance with project specifications.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure alignment with design layouts and elevations.

Data Analysis and Documentation

• Interpret and analyze survey data to produce accurate maps, site layouts, and reports.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, records, and reports.
• Resolve discrepancies between design data and actual field conditions.

Equipment Management

• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly to ensure accuracy.

Collaboration and Compliance

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate survey results into designs.
• Ensure survey work complies with legal standards, project requirements, and health and safety regulations.

Team Supervision

• Supervise junior survey staff and coordinate survey tasks on-site.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university with over 7 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree (MSc) in a related discipline from a recognized university with over 5 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of land surveying techniques, mapping standards, and local regulations.
• Familiarity with legal land boundaries and documentation.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with surveying instruments and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Leica, Trimble).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
• Effective communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
