Role Overview
Kitchen Steward position at The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, operated by Marriott.
Role Purpose
Support vital hotel operations by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across kitchen, food and beverage, and related departments. Prepare and maintain clean linen, dining ware, and equipment to ensure guests enjoy a spotless environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Equipment
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
- Transport dishware and linens across the hotel.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all cleaning tasks.
- Prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use.
- Uphold quality standards consistently.
Team & Safety
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Support the team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Create a safe workplace.
Compliance & Professionalism
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Ensure uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
