Role Overview

Key Account Executive - Personal Care at Unilever. This role is based in UAE and focuses on key account management for Modern Trade customers in the personal care sector.

Role Purpose

To develop and execute retail-centric category strategies for key Modern Trade accounts in UAE, serving as the bridge between retail execution and head office while driving category sales growth, compliance, and profitability across Skin Cleansing, Deos, and Oral Care brands.

Key Responsibilities

Retail-Centric Category Strategy

  • Develop account and store-specific category plans for Skin Cleansing, Deos, and Oral Care, ensuring alignment with retailer objectives.
  • Track store audits to assess shelf share, competitor placements, and compliance with planograms.
  • Plan and implement customer events aligned with brand and category objectives.
  • Identify gaps versus potential in assortment and recommend range adjustments.
  • Monitor spend versus planned budgets at customer and category level.

Head Office Coordination

  • Act as the bridge between execution teams and head office.
  • Align on new product launches, discontinuations, and promotions.
  • Ensure timebound listing of new products and new promotions.
  • Manage product master data in customer systems.
  • Share store-level insights including slow-moving SKUs and promo effectiveness to refine national strategies.
  • Ensure timely planning and oversee execution of POSM and merchandising guidelines.

Promotion & Pricing Execution

  • Design retailer-specific promo plans and track return on investment.
  • Negotiate with head office to implement the right promotion for the right store.
  • Monitor pricing compliance versus competitors.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze sell-out data, market share, and secondary sales to recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for head office on category performance.
  • Use the Dunnhumby portal to make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years in FMCG Modern Trade category management or trade marketing, preferably in personal care or hygiene, with a track record of performance.
  • Expertise in retail store operations and head office processes.
  • Proficiency in planogram and EPOS data analysis.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with head office and company cross-functional teams.
  • EPOS reading ability (preferred).

  • On-shelf availability and listing compliance.
  • Promo return on investment.
  • Turnover achievement.

  • Joint Business Planning end-to-end understanding.
