Role Overview

Role Purpose

To develop, maintain, and support reliable backend applications and services that enable business capabilities and digital products in accordance with established engineering and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Maintenance

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into working, tested software.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code in line with engineering standards.

Integration & Architecture

• Integrate services with databases, internal platforms, and external partner systems.
• Work with event streaming and messaging (Kafka, MQ) under guidance.

Testing & Quality

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and application quality.

Security & Standards

• Apply secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.

Deployment & Operations

• Support deployment and monitoring on containerized platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes) through established CI/CD pipelines.
• Support production troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and squad ceremonies.
• Maintain relevant technical documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of backend development experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging fundamentals.
