Role Purpose

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications for the banking sector using modern frameworks and microservices architecture. Ensure compliance with banking security and regulatory standards while delivering reliable, high-performance solutions in collaboration with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using the Quarkus framework.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices for banking applications.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Integration and Systems

• Integrate applications with core banking systems and third-party services.
• Support application deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution.

Compliance and Quality

• Ensure applications comply with banking security, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Java development.
• Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with the Quarkus framework.
• Experience integrating with Core Banking Systems, payment systems, or digital banking platforms is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Java, REST APIs, Microservices, Maven, Git, and SQL.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
