Role Overview

IT Systems Administrator at MIRA Construction. The role involves managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure day-to-day operations.

Role Purpose

Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, networks, user accounts, and security systems while providing technical support to end users and ensuring business continuity through backups and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows and Linux servers and IT systems.
• Manage hardware, software, printers, and other IT infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and access controls.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

Security & Compliance

• Apply security patches, updates, antivirus protection, and system hardening.
• Maintain IT documentation, configurations, and asset records.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Perform system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery activities.

User Support

• Respond to help-desk escalations and provide technical support to users.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and networking.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with backup, monitoring, cybersecurity, and endpoint-management solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or VMware.
