Role Overview
Inventory Controller β Logistics for Al Tayer Group on a 1-year fixed-term contract.

Role Purpose
Manage and monitor inventory and stock holdings to minimize system stock issues. Monitor and control stock movement, formulate policies and control procedures to maintain minimum discrepancies, and ensure all returns to suppliers are managed and monitored.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Inventory Management
- Own responsibility as custodian of business inventory and overall inventory management operations.
- Optimize warehouse storage space, conduct ABC analysis, heat map analysis and implement findings.
- Implement stock loss action plans formulated from cycle counts and stock counts in conjunction with the Loss Prevention Team.
- Review and monitor extent of damage in the warehouse and develop action plans to mitigate occurrence in conjunction with warehouse inbound and outbound operations.
- Execute warehouse shrinkage analysis and reductions.
- Ensure timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions.
Inventory Operations and Control
- Conduct investigation of inventory discrepancies identified during cycle count or picking and take action to rectify discrepancies within established timelines.
- Oversee the entire process of stock transfers between warehouses, warehouse to store and store to warehouse; ensure movements are recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.
- Provide regular updates on pending transfers, warehouse cycle counts and transparency of trouble-coded inventory.
- Directly coordinate with suppliers and buying department for returning intended stocks.
- Track all warehouse logs, credit notes and RTV adjustments; submit to FSS.
- Process credit notes, RTV, write-off and general adjustments through system and report to finance.
- Monitor transactions daily, investigate discrepancies and confirm on-base logs are raised; review log status to ensure accurate resolution.
- Manage perpetual stock take calendar in conjunction with designated managers and stock take team; communicate the plan and ensure compliance.
- Liaise with business inventory managers for monthly shrinkage data; prepare and share final report.
- Manage expiry product identification and share visibility reports with all stakeholders.
- Manage disposal or RTV of expired and obsolete goods at respective warehouses to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee the physical stock count process, review stock count results in conjunction with management and reconcile figures by auditing physical stock movements.
- Prepare reports based on findings and provide recommendations and suggestions to management.
People Management
- Coach and motivate reportees to enhance performance and produce quality standards and outputs; ensure continuous development and feedback provision.
- Review operational processes from a risk management perspective; identify and qualify new areas of risk and escalate concerns to the site HSE committee.
- Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work; ensure continuous development for higher-level roles.
- Maintain HSE practices in the working environment to minimize property damage and injury to self and colleagues; proactively remind colleagues to behave in line with company HSE processes.
- Regularly communicate to the team on operational performance and brief on upcoming events.
- Create a positive work environment that results in low attrition, reduced sickness and absence to ensure collective and individual targets are met.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate with excellent knowledge of warehousing and inventory management.
- 3β5 years of experience in warehousing and inventory management with knowledge in ecommerce retail environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Computer literacy and excellent MS Excel skills.
- Highly organized with eye for detail.
- Preferably good knowledge in Oracle WMS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- English language proficiency.
