Inspector - Permitting and Licensing

Role Overview

Inspector - Permitting and Licensing at BlackStone eIT, based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for ensuring compliance with permitting and licensing regulations across projects and operations.

Role Purpose

Conduct field inspections across Abu Dhabi to verify that establishments engaged in petroleum product activities operate in compliance with applicable regulations, permit conditions, and approved safety and technical requirements. Support effective field enforcement, compliance verification, timely reporting of inspection findings, and follow-up of non-compliance items.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection and Compliance Verification

• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to permit conditions and licensing requirements.
• Carry out field inspections across Abu Dhabi to verify compliance with applicable regulations, permit conditions, and approved safety and technical requirements.
• Evaluate compliance and document inspection findings.

Documentation and Records Management

• Review and verify documentation related to permits and licenses for compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Maintain records of permits, licenses, inspections, and compliance status.

Coordination and Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with governmental agencies and internal teams to facilitate timely issuance and renewals of permits and licenses.
• Work with multiple stakeholders to support compliance efforts.

Reporting and Enforcement

• Report on inspection findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Provide timely reporting of inspection findings and follow-up on non-compliance items.

Regulatory Knowledge and Development

• Stay updated on changes in permitting and licensing regulations relevant to the company's operations.
• Assist in training staff on compliance and permitting processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in permitting, licensing, or regulatory compliance roles.
• Experience conducting inspections and evaluating compliance.
• Strong knowledge of local, regional, and national permitting and licensing laws.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory agencies and processes.
