Role Overview
Civil Inspector at AtkinsRéalis, responsible for monitoring and inspecting transportation and infrastructure construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Role Purpose
Monitor and inspect construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Coordinate with engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and support timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor drainage systems, pavements, and structural components during execution.
- Verify alignment, levels, and dimensions against engineering plans.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare inspection reports, checklists, and documentation for project records.
- Report findings to project managers and provide technical support during execution.
Coordination & Planning
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Assist in reviewing construction schedules and ensuring timely completion of works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in transportation and infrastructure construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction standards, codes, and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and site management practices.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil engineering software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Effective time management to handle multiple inspections and deadlines.
