ICT Applications Developer

Role Overview

ICT Applications Developer at stc. This entry-level position is based at stc and requires 0-2 years of professional experience in circuit, system, infrastructure, or applications design within the technology or telecommunications industry.

Role Purpose

Assist in the design and development of circuits, systems, servers, database systems, and automated infrastructure services by performing standard procedures and guidelines. Compile and report relevant statistics to support design decisions and infrastructure optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Maintenance

• Perform defined tests on simple circuits, systems, and equipment accurately according to standard guidelines and specifications.
• Perform maintenance and repair of existing systems and equipment under the direction and supervision of more experienced team members.

Infrastructure Deployment & Operations

• Deploy requisite infrastructure and applications required for smooth day-to-day operations.
• Ensure communication and adherence to established guidelines in all deployment and implementation operations of IT infrastructure.
• Ensure all technical specifications pertaining to implementation and deployment are in line with enterprise architecture design.

Requirements Management

• Collate infrastructure and applications requirements received from various sectors to ensure requirements are met on time.

Analytics & Reporting

• Compile and analyse statistics using systems on the performance of current and new STC design systems to support decision-making at higher levels in the team.
• Maintain computer records and reports as directed, ensuring accuracy and currency.
• Prepare and update all necessary databases, including RFPs and vendor management databases.

Asset & Software Governance

• Assist in tracking of license utilization across all applications.
• Support governing software and related assets.

Database Administration

• Handle tuning and optimization of database systems in coordination with application owners.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform pre-defined inspections and audits as directed to ensure quality standards are maintained at the desired level.
• Execute assigned responsibilities consistently, ensuring compliance with established standards, policies, processes, and operating procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in circuit, system, infrastructure, or applications design at a technology or telecommunication industry.
