HYDRAULIC HAMMER SUPERVISOR

Role Overview

Hydraulic Hammer Supervisor with NMDC Group. This is an offshore barge-based position responsible for supervising hydraulic hammer operations, crew development, and equipment management.

Role Purpose

To oversee the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic hammers and associated equipment, develop crew competency, maintain equipment readiness, and ensure compliance with company standards and HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Safety

• Carry out hammering operations in an appropriate manner during emergencies involving potential risk, ensuring crew safety.
• Take necessary actions to establish a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance in accordance with Company codes and HSE standards.

Crew Training & Development

• Train and develop the crew in the operation, maintenance and repair of Hydraulic Hammers and power packs/equipment.

Equipment Management & Maintenance

• Ensure a complete and up-to-date inventory of available spare items/equipment is always maintained.
• Check that all items and accessories required for the Hammers are available onboard the barge.
• Ensure that the hammers are correctly set up, hoses are connected and umbilical cables are ready to use.
• Supervise the dismantling and demobilization of the hammer equipment and its maintenance during the idle period.
• Liaise regularly with the Chief Mechanic to ensure the timely inspection and maintenance of equipment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Keep a well-documented log of all activities which are mobilized with hammers.
• Maintain a log of equipment condition before and after piling activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance works.
• Report details of the job and activities related to the Hammer to the Barge Foreman, Barge Superintendent and Field Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school or equivalent.
• Six years' experience as Hydraulic Hammer Operator.
• Knowledge of all offshore safety training requirements.
